Per a recent post, yep things can change, even if there is no significant weight gain.

A certain woman, who lives about three miles from here, can still fit into a dress that she had worn during college, 30+ years ago.  Some women are like that; she has three well-adjusted, adult children...yeah, helps when a mom is able to stay home, and be a mom, and enjoy having the time to keep an orderly house, and cook real meals.

Well guess what!  Her devotion... i.e., years of unpaid labor...yep, peewee decided he no longer wanted to provide.  Not like this was sudden, peewee did have a sullen streak, all along.  Saw him in town once - and that was enough, thankyouverykindly - dude had that entitled mean look about him, oh the negativity...bluuck.  Nope, don't know the details, but this or that...that he should have cowboy'd the heck up, and took care of, but instead chose toys...  Yep, anyone with half a brain, knows the drill.

One that starts off with, expecting wifey, at 40+ to get out there and get a career, while still june-cleavering.  Wasn't like his pay couldn't cover; his career, as a professional...yeah, six figure.  So, in a huff, i guess, he initiated the divorce.   Per another post, the average cost of a divorce is about 15k - holy hannah!

It is CAPPED that it's better for couples contemplating divorce, to wait until the kids are grown - well, probably so, for practical sake (daycare, moving, school issues).   While 20-somethings won't take to wetting the bed, a post from an early 20s woman (about 20 years ago) speaks.  She and her boyfriend were serious, were discussing marriage, and while she wanted to marry, and later on, have children, she wasn't sure; her stay-at-home mom had been married for 20+ years...only to end up dumped, and with about no money, no sustainable job, no retirement...at 60-something, most folks don't quite have the energy (the naivety) to properly navigate the shark tank.  Red-pills whiiine about alimony.  But that, now tax-free, alimony can end... on a dime.
