Now THAT was a hymn. "The Son of God Goes Forth to War."

First time i heard it, or even about it.  Lori Alexander mentioned it in one of her blog posts.  Went to you-tube.  Anyway, she was saying that, in too many churches, Jesus Christ is ... well, basically relegated as not manly; this slander - that's precisely what it is, slander!  Well, keeps many men far away from church. Jesus Christ being some smooth-palmed sissy...well, duh!  No wonder many men steer clear from hearing and receiving the Gospel - and go on, thinking that being a punk is manly, because that's what the everywhere grunge social darwinism tells em.  

Yeah, i get it, the Bible is quite clear, on like Page Two that Eve, not Adam, was deceived.  That's so true, not minimizing that - not for a second.  What else is true enough, but will have to search the Scriptures, is:  that, not only teenagers, but full grown men, get caught up in peer pressure.   Ya know, buy the new 60k truck, when the old one runs just fine, aw comeon, stay for another beer, have a snort...yeah, and nevermind the bank balance keeps taking a hit - while the roof's gonna need some work before next winter.

In short, the hymns that people really want to sing, are so few - even in KJB churches.  Nope, not saying a word, being silent in the church, because that's what the Bible tells women.  No issue there.  So, will pray about it - that the Holy Spirit gets with the deacons and the preacher.  Btw, the pastor and the deacons are all men - just like the Bible says.  Uhm, if the church decided to go new-agey, would be, politely, so out of there, so quick.  Pray that doesn't happen, because church shouldn't have to be a fifty freaking miles away.  There ARE people who have to travel that far, because the churches nearer to home are all fluff.
