Oh, here we go again...i filled out the order blank for the two dresses, and enclosed a check.

But evidently, they're not into old school payment practices.  Don't know what the problem is...actually half suspect... Seriously, why not hold the check a few days, or whatever, then upon proof that the check is good, then send the merchandise...oh, that's right, too much like customer-care.  And, perhaps, too much like sore toes - average credit card debt being in the thousands.  Wouldn't surprise me, if there's a bit of resentment activity going on in places - and maybe some ageism in the mix : ya know, ooolld people - okay boomer - off-grid spending preferences.

There's an unwritten policy which - per the returned check (there's plenty of funds in that account) - they want the consumer (customer is too old fashioned - i.e., human,  of an expression) to send their credit card info to... well, heaven only knows, upon how many websites that will appear.  Yikes!  Oh, but they have security...yeah, like i have a 23 inch waistline ;/

People tend to think that being under the bondage of consumer debt only happens to data entry clerks, janitors and nurses' aids - people who don't make anywhere near six figures.  And people tend to think, it's the lower economic classes who can't get credit cards, and must use checks or money orders.  For the most part, that's true, but there are people who make way more, and are so far in debt.  But the point is:

Encouraging the use of credit cards, while discouraging cash, is just plain EVIL.  It's along the lines of waltzing into an AA meeting, while sporting a bottle of premium jack, and uncorking the lid.
