The twelve year old sitting alone at the mall, hiding behind a faux palm tree, or whatever.

She doesn't want a certain trio of mean girls to spot her.  Looks like they're headed toward faux-fancy for another group/selfie pic-shoot.  And yeah, they'll actually purchase some of the stuff - and probably included, will be that $40 shortie excuse-for-a sweater.   As an aside (but not really) have to wonder where the three spoilers get the money, and how that weekly white-collar-funded dole will play out over the next 50 years.

But this post isn't so much about them.  Those girls don't crave for just any young man to tell them they're pretty.  Those girls know they're hot - the stats continue to prove that.  But still, have to stay in the game.

Not so, with the girl, sitting behind the tree.  The shirt she is wearing came from a big-box store, on sale, back in March.  Her jacket has a tear, and one of the five snaps - toward the middle, of course - doesn't exactly stay in place.  Her jeans?  Guess it's a good thing people don't really keep count on how many different pairs of pants a girl wears to school - tops and shoes are another matter; that's evident by looking through any fashion catalog.

Anyway, a rather smartly dressed youngish man has recently taken a seat close to her, and - having observed her body language - has just begun to strike up a conversation with her.  In a few seconds, he'll drop a flattering phrase, maybe two.

Have to wonder, what's been going on at the girl's home - and in what red-pill bubble-world has her father immersed himself in, for way too long!

Shift fixing to start.

  1. Hopefully the well dressed young man has good intentions towards her and does not see her as prey. Christianity denies realities about status and their answers that often glamorize poverty while elevating the status quo, would tell us in America this girl is poor because she did not have enough faith. Her father could be scapegoater too who has plenty of money to buy her decent clothes but is uglifying her for control and sabotage.

  2. Dear Peeps, once again good point. Since an entire industry is hell-bent on uglifying women (and punkifying men), it's certainly no stretch to consider the probability of a girl's parent/s doing the same.

    1. If that father cared about her, he'd help her get some decent clothes, if she is thin, she could dress better from thrift. I think some people just like to sabotage their kids.
