During after-service fellowship, politics barely was a side-issue. Something far more important, was the central topic.

One of the brethren had seen a documentary, a few days ago.  It was called, i think, Blind Eyes Open, and it dealt with the slave-trade that's going on, right here in the USA and in other countries.  In the documentary, the question was raised, as to why the young girls, and boys, if able to escape, don't run to the nearest church, or police station.  Yikes, the slavers are everywhere.

Why?  Because of the top selling form of video entertainment.  That's why!  There are so many people - even seemingly-upstanding church people, who close their study door...and prEy.

The discussion continued.  Another reason, people affected by this really vile predation, generally avoid the church, is because the nicely dressed church-people tend to look down on the family whose clothing are basically tired sweats, their car a dented soda can.  At the very least, those fine upstanding  church people don't understand how evil works - and frankly, don't give a flying hoot.

Oh, just another reason to be upset at the SO FEW sermons which Biblically explain - in simple terms - how and why children end up set up, sold for cheap, and are a done-for train-wreck before their 18th birthday.  That is, if they make it to 18.

In the film, one of the predators, who got caught and put in jail had said, they target the kid who's sitting alone in the mall - the kid whose body language shows social awkwardness, and so evidently doesn't have many, if any friends, the kid who, very probably, comes from a troubled home.

Oh man!  And the overwhelming number of sermons, continue to be the sort that if ya could only bottle for the summer...

  1. Check out Bruce Gerenscers blog and he exposes all the predators in fundie churches.

Christianity enables evil via false ideas of forgiveness that silence the abused and give all the power to abusers who get off scott-free. I mean if your very religion is based on scapegoating, well the narcissism runs through it. This I believe is why sex abuse is rife in conservative Christian churches.

  2. Dear Peeps, at my side bar are a few sermons from real preachers speaking out against unBiblical forgiveness. Yes, these men are few in number...can ya spell "remnant!"

    1. Forgiveness is for the abusers who never have to be accountable. Think about God here too, "forgive your enemies" but he sends his to hell? As for remnant, if there is one, I believe atheists have a far better chance then Christo-fascists.
