So, this thread started about three years ago, when at work, a woman, whose husband,

i guess ... oh, take a look around, decided that patriarchy was too much like responsibility.  So, the couple divorced.  She said, she felt like a widow.  Per the last post, i am very glad that the Lord chose to not label divorced women as such in His Word, but instead, women trying to raise their kids without a husband, were called widows.

Oh wait, in the New Testament, there was a divorced woman.  She lived near Jacob's well.  She probably was divorced by atleast one of her husbands - she'd been married five times, and when she met Jesus, she had presently been shacked up with a guy.  So, it stands to reason, that she had about "hit the wall."

Did Jesus make cat quips at her?  Nope.

She had come to the well for water, but had left the pot sit, because she had come away with Real Water.

"The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come see a man, which told me all things that ever I did : is not this the Christ?" Mark 4:28-29.
