for 60-some years, my natural immunity system has treated me real well - i don't want to mess with it. Btw, 40 years ago - when doctors (usually men, at that long ago time) - were allowed to speak their research, were warning against over-medication...ya know, for things that natural immunity was designed (by our Lord - yep, back then, some of those old guys believed the Word) to take care of. Anyway, what these guys were saying was: get sick? Stay home, rest, drink oj, and if the flu won't quit, then come see us.
Reason number 2: and this has no scientific basis, but is a personal fear anyway. Fear that getting the vaxx could alter who i am. Yep, am one of those (annoying :) people who has the audacity of liking who i am ... yeah, i know, what frakking nerve ;/ And yeah, am very aware, control freaks ... them nosey old cows hate that, when people are comfortable in their own skin, and so want that stopped.
Per the previous paragraph, there's alot of old people who resent being old; especially women, who (perhaps, not always) silently rage, when seeing a young shapley woman - turning men's heads while minding her own business - while she shops for whatever at the big-box. Oh, especially when the pretty woman is wearing a strapless sundress. Oh, that makes some old broads seeth. Btw, the Bible speaks about hardening of the heart, that mean spiritedness becoming more entrenched, over time.
Perhaps covid has presented some opportunity for these busy-body old women to exact some revenge.
