Old school - doctor's and medicine are for people who are ill. Yeah, this is re-post of a sorts. Some 40 years ago, maybe longer,

remember reading somewhere, where Doctor's were voicing concern about the over-medicating going on.  Oh yeah, probably these doctor's were older than dirt, and held to the notion that flu symptoms were best treated with fruit juice, plenty of water, bed-rest and a few aspirin  - and that, if a few days pass, and you're still feeling lousy, then you go see the doctor.  It's about one specific common-grace (among many others, bestowed by the Lord, unto both saved-in-Christ [alone], and the lost (who flip Him off).  That particular common grace is called, an immune system.  Ya get a bad flu, and yeah, you're miserable for a few days ... maybe even throw up on yourself, but the majority of people get better - because their bodies make the medicine.  A well-working immune system is nothing to tinker with ... if it ain't broke, don't fix ... yeah, sounds so eight-decades-n-change.

Thought just popped into this 60-something brain.  To mess with a good-working immune system, unnecessarily, now, could result in an additional 10 to 15 years worth of running back and forth to doctors and prescription counters.

Well, guess who pays for that???

Yeppers, the working people.  Ya see, as prices rise, what was money 20 years ago, is no longer quite so.  So, the young people are supporting our old arse's.  And yeah, they're quite peeved - because ... well, duh, they harbor the very legitimate fear that there won't be resources for them, when they get old.

Dear chidey-heidi (and groupies), kindly knock off th' [expletive] "selfish" accusations, and mercifully take a look at the lives, the challenges of (younger) working people, who by the way, are supporting (in one, or various other ways) our wrinkly arse's :/
