While grocery shopping earlier today. Spring will be here...eventually. How are young men to

meet young women - and vice-versa - in daytime places?  Stuck behind masks, facial language is stifled (bingo!)   Behind a mask, you can't really tell whether or not the person is someone with whom you may want to share a brief conversation at a later time - maybe meet him or her over at the diner.

And this shutting churches down is total bull.  Even churches where (the) King James has been long shown the door, churches are far better places to meet decent people, than various other places.

Yeah i know, there's zoom.  Well, zoom is fine for Tuesday's budget training session - you're very interested in learning from the instructor what's involved in compiling the status of funds, but you're no way interested in pursuing a possible coffee-date with him or her.  And zoom in fine for visiting gramps and cousin zed - they live three states away, and maybe you'll get to actually visit, in real life, come july...uh, that is, if nanny-state will let ya so much as cross the county line.   Who knows.  Yikes, it's getting way over the top.  And now there's a new strain.  Timing's everything, ain't it ;/

Anyway, it's really needful for young people, children especially, to see complete faces - because facial expressions ARE a language.  Living my entire life in one area, i can only imagine moving a few states over - where the accent is heavy - and learning the new job from people wearing masks.  The first few days on a new job are nerve-racking enough, thankyoumuch!  The real fun, of course, comes with trying to remember ten different names.

But alot of new employees accomplish that just fine.  Ya know how they do it?  Certainly not by associating Pete with green jeans (he only wore them because his washer had quit). Seeing full faces, and going from there - that's how!
