Back in the early 70s, the teacher was telling us 9th graders that some mammoths were found. In their stomachs were the remains

of flowers.  She said they had frozen quickly.  Evidently.  At the time, it didn't occur to me, that for even a young mammoth to freeze solid - and so preserve the stomach contents - would take several hours.  And that freezing could normally only happen in a lab.  Anyway, i sat there in that class thinking a ton of ice had fallen on them while they partook their flower-feast.  But they'd have to be real close to the massive ice - and flowers wouldn't do so well that close to the massive amounts of ice.  Maybe flowers were tougher back then.  i don't know.  All's i know is what our teacher told us - one minute the mammoths are contentedly munching away, and the next minute, they're encased in ice.  i sat there rather stunned...how on earth!

In the second portion of Genesis 8:1, the Word says, "and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged."

Anyway, lunch is over and we need toner.

  1. Palentologists can answer your question how the mammoths and dinosaurs got encased. The existence of dinosaurs alone proves the cosmology of conservative Christianity is false. Take it from a person so sheep dipped in fundie theology she used to read websites that said dinosaurs are fake, I went and studied fossils, fossil remains, there's even a park in Ohio of fossils, creationism is a lie.

    1. Dear Peeps, several years ago while on the bus, i read a secular news article about the dino section of the Washington DC museum of natural history having been closed off, for remodeling. Yeah, remodeling is a nice word for it - evidently some of the dinos had been put together wrong. Oh well, such is science when new evidence comes through...or there's been a change in who's calling the shots. Politics as usual. Dinos were real, and our ancestors had to deal with them. Yikes.

    2. They discover new things all the time. Look at the fossil parks...

Dinosaurs existed 300 million years before humans did, then came the age of the mammals.
