What's that? Some one out of five Episcopalians are agnostic/atheist? As if church-goer

is synonymous with (for-real) believer...uhm, didn't Paul the Apostle already go over this back in a.d. 70-something?  Said something to the effect that as soon as he left town, men would come in with a Christless agenda.  If i'm not mistaken, Paul warned his listeners several times, to be wary of brethren who aren't.  Oh, and let's not forget about Jeremiah; if i'm not mistaken, he walked all over town and couldn't find one believer - think it was only his servant, and the Ethiopian who got him out of that pit, that believed when Jeremiah spoke the Lord's Word.

But anyway, lots of people are really happy that the number of Christians has been steadily decreasing over the last 20-some years; think the stats say barely half the nation's population claim to be Christian.  And tthhhenn, it's reported that only one out of some six kids raised in the (Bible) churches continue as adults - most are long gone by their late teens.  Have seen it gleefully posted, atleast a few times, that in a few decades, the Christian faith will dissapear.

Guess they never noticed the word, "remnant."  Bible says, there will always be a remnant.  Makes me sad; remnant means few, very few...but hey, i didn't write the Bible, and didn't make the rules either.

  1. You always write you didn't make the rules when writing about religion.

I think you are like me inside you know something is wrong with a God that is so bloodthirsty and cruel and who throws most humans into hell. So only a special 5 percent or LESS [REMNANT] get in? I used to believe this way too.

If your god is real it had the option to make humans more capable of "being good enough" for it.

The rules suck, and you know it inside. I can tell. I was afraid to face what this meant for years. I put it aside. The rules are cruel and human written.

  2. Dear Peeps, if i did not believe the Lord as He is, is for-real, i'd of gone down the drain years ago. Yeah i question things, and those typical stepford-churchian attitudes (and why do the holy-droids - who don't mess up, ever- oftentimes are sporting some new-fangled bible) anyway, gives me the willies.

    1. One can examine God outside of the narrow conservative Christian circles. I can't worship celestial beings that advance pettiness, evil, oppression and are anti-freedom. The conservative Christian churches are Stepford land because they are built on domination and authoritarianism. It is about the strong lording over the weak. Their Jesus is a servant to the system. [at least some liberal Christians teach a Jesus of love AGAINST oppression] They should give you the willies, it is BOT land, COMPLY or be destroyed or go to hell. I couldn't do it anymore and I am glad to be free of it all.
