Frankly, even though america today is very different than it was fifty years ago, there is still significant Christian influence. It's western nations that have things like food and medical assistance - in pagan (arm-pit) nations, if you get sick and can not do your miserable low-paying job or pay your INSSSANNE rent...too bad....luzer! It's a kkaaarrma thing don' cha know...yeah karma is a great excuse to think and go around like a sophisticated beast. Uh, a bejeweled pig is still a p-i-g, pig!
i'm nobody's historian, but i think we westerners (who've never ventured outside civilized borders) are naive about societies where there are no Gospel churches. Guess where the (very deluded) peaceful matriarchy idea came from? Uh nnooo, not from china, not from india, and certainly not from muslim countries. Only in the Christian influenced west, can you bash the national/local belief system, and not end up in jail or dead - for no better reason than simply mouthing off like some spoiled twit.
