from a father of eight, and i think the other father had five. All good - provided (there's that dirty word again ;) the kids have space to spread out their math workbook and scratch papers. Clutter-free space and plenty of paper to explore the equations...ya know, not just the exact ones assigned. Good luck with all that, in a trailer.
So as not to offend, i lived in a trailer during my twenties - fine for mr, mrs, and baby, but when #2 comes along, it's time to call a realtor. What the eight-ain't-quite-enough advocates aren't talking about is (and no big surprise) is, the many who grew up in those large families - and are actively, noisily lugging around a gigantic chip on their shoulders.
Don't know anything about homeschool, or the quality of the text books. All's i know is, if the books teach reading, punctuation and algebra, the rest will happen for a student who wants to learn.
Bus-stop ahead - and lots of mail is waiting to get sent.
