hazier and smells more smokey-stale. Yesterday, someone from work told me, that the forest-fire smoke (from Canada) has nyc looking as smovgy as a third-world city. Back in the 60s, city air pollution was bad here in the US; people spoke out, and regs were enacted to keep the air, land and waterways atleast somewhat clean.
There had been forest fires up north before; can recall haze coming this direction, a time or two, in the past five years or so. But this one? It smells. It smelled last night. Makes me sad, those beautiful trees. Gone.
