The last post was yesterday. The air this morning is even

hazier and smells more smokey-stale.  Yesterday, someone from work told me, that the forest-fire smoke (from Canada) has nyc looking as smovgy as a third-world city.  Back in the 60s, city air pollution was bad here in the US; people spoke out, and regs were enacted to keep the air, land and waterways atleast somewhat clean.

There had been forest fires up north before; can recall haze coming this direction, a time or two, in the past five years or so.  But this one?  It smells.  It smelled last night.  Makes me sad, those beautiful trees.  Gone.
