"One little obstacle...?" Seriously??? Pastor frozen-chosen was referring to a wealthy man, who wanted to "inherit eternal life."

(Mark 10:17-23).  Verse 20 describes him as having, from youth, lived a clean life - ya know, not sleeping around, not beating people up, not ripping them off, not flipping off his parents.  Jesus affirms this in verse 19.  But anyone who's browsed Scripture, is likely aware, that even being a complete tea-tottler, in itself, doesn't save; an old person can be sinless all his or her life, then one morning - on the way to the hardware store - flips the bird at some other driver...oh, that was close.  That's also sin, and without the Lord's forgiveness, per the Cross, one sin = a fully conscious, eternal death sentence in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:13-15).  It was eating just one bit of fruit that undid Adam and Eve - had the Lord not forgiven them...yikes.  Okay, that said.

Anyway, the wealthy man "went away grieved" (Mark 10-22) upon hearing Jesus himself, tell him to "sell whatsoever thou hast, and give..." (Mark 10:21).  And mr.frozen-chosen sums that up as, "one little obstacle."  Are you bleeping kidding me!  Okay, i don't have a theology degree, but doggoneit, know enough that the Bible says we're to have compassion for people/their situations.  And that includes wealthy people.  "One little obstacle..."  My little bank-balance.

Oh, and of course, he had to emphasize how many strive to enter in, but cannot. (Luke 13:24)  Biblical.  Well guess what!  So's Matthew 23:13!  If i didn't know any better, would conclude f.c. doesn't have any sins to deal with (like the rest of us sorry-sacks-a...) and so joyfully obeys the Lord 110% of the time.

"But woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men : for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in."  Matthew 23:13

"Strive to enter in at the strait gate : for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." Luke 13:24

"For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers."  Matthew 23:4

"And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers."  Luke 11:46
