Just used some of it. It's horrible. Doesn't clean even a forth as good, as good old fashioned no-nonsense ammonia. With ammonia, you don't have to rinse - just keep the windows open, curtains parted.
Perhaps, the powers that be ... (their floors cleaned from the barely-paid labor of women from mexico, and other countries) have determined that american consumers are simply too stupid to handle basic chemicals.
There wasn't any at the dollar-store in town either. Just some sort of watered-down whatever - which isn't really good on old wood floors. Ammonia on a sponge mop, gets the job done fast - oh my, can't have that, can we :/
I'm using more vinegar than ammonia lately (because of the smell more than anything else), but nothing cleans windows better than a bucket of ammonia water with a squirt of dish soap.
ReplyDeleteKathy, just bought a gallon of ammonia, from the hardware store. And not just any old ammonia, but the industrial kind. $5-something. That should last awhile.
