In her early 80s, the woman still worked - for real - at her home-based business.

Beautiful place.  It's a local health and wellness venue.  She teaches things like nutrition.  One thing, among others, she said that she's had clients - recommended to her, by their doctors - who wanted no parts of chopping, slicing, or dicing veggies.  So much easier to call up grub-hub, i guess.

Anyway, the amazing thing is, the woman supplements heating her beautiful home AND part of her business with firewood.  Yes, the 80-something woman loads the logs on a cart or dolly and brings them in.  She owns several acres, some of which is forest, and the wood - there's stacks and stacks of it - is stored outside, just everso.

From what i gather, while she likely had someone come in and fell the trees, atleast some of the splitting, she had done herself, using a good and safe quality log splitter.  And then, over the years, stacked those 8 foot squares that are 4 feet high, neatly stacked that air flows around each log, and so, it won't turn nasty.

All that firewood, sounds like, number one: the Lord's Grace - to make possible the good planning on her part.  After all, she is in her 80s, and somehow, i doubt that she's been splitting cords of logs.  All that firewood.  Think some years back, she had been looking ahead, to a time when even a lifetime of healthy eating (and alot of Scripture) would only carry so far, in this natural, but fallen, world.

Lovely place, and probably paid for, years ago.  Yep, that's just one of the blessings of living separate from the world that's ever  blowing it's money on stuff that never lasts, (cigarettes, lottery tickets, beer, fast food, cable tv,..) and peer-pressuring one another to keep running up the plastic, in pursuit of the same.
