Ugh, that gimmee-fest will cost ... enough to cover a plumbing bill.

A co-worker is waiting on a family member to come over and fix the problem - hope she's not holding her breath.  Well, she must be a better person than me, because i'd of sent a gift-card (maybe, but then again, maybe not :) and saved the expense of travelling to the fest.  It's the old story of siblings who are about to retire with plenty of money (to do the show-and-tell farce-book shuffle) - while she's the one burning gas, and leave from work to care-give.  

Anyway, just had a plumbing issue last week.  So, called the plumber - took him the best end of two hours to fix it.  He does a good job btw.  Needless to say, the bill came today, and the check goes out tomorrow.  Avoid gimmee-fests because...?  Okay, call me a cheap-skate, but you won't (by the Lord's grace) have to call me about a past-due bill.
