Memories of Election Day past. Husband and i would go vote,

(yeah, not ashamed to say) Republican, then around 8-ish, head over to the Vets, drink beer and watch the election results.  But that was a few years ago, before his heart condition had basically prevented him from really going anywhere for any appreciable amount of time.

Further on back, i remember my staunch Republican grand parents, and just regular Republican parents, gathered around the tube, watching the results while drinking either manhattans (whatever's in those) or beer, and munching on finger-foods.  No! My folks weren't drunks.

Today, we probably won't know until...maybe next week?  But i guess, some of the crew will be (socially distanced - whadda crock!) around the bar, watching whatever electoral projections the news-media cares to offer.

Me?  i'll be at home.   Glad to not having missed the bar-scene, the jukebox, for some years now - the Lord doesn't like that sort of thing; may seem fun...for a season, but leads nowhere.
