And by the way, ever notice when our ultimately together Lord was dealing with the NARC pharisees, He didn't run after them, pleading with them to be reasonable with Him, to like Him, to want to be buddies with Him. Uh-uh, it was more like well-alrighty-then...be-seein-ya (at the great white throne - yikes!).
Needless to say, the sermon put me off a bit, because there is much abuse going on in households - more than any of us (saved or - still - lost) want to realize. There are people who are so wicked, the only thing to do is to, if at all possible, get away from them, and stay away from them - no matter what flowery words the wicked come up with - there's a verse in Jeremiah, where the Lord warns Jeremiah of people from his father's house who want Jeremiah gone.
Yay, found the Scripture. Jeremiah 12:6. "For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee."
I could see you deconverting once you realize that Christianity is an abusive system from it's foundations. Jesus was the ultimate scapegoat to a narcissistic father who demanded blood sacrifices. Too bad Jesus didn't turn around and tell his cruel father to stop his brutality and to have some love and empathy. There's a reason they love bomb people in these churches and tell them to be doormats. What part of my story do you do not get where, I left Christianity knowing it was a scapegoating system from it's roots, and I was done.
ReplyDeleteDear Peeps, better Christians than i fear they'll deconvert. "Lord, is it I?"
