Oh, but that's not it. Even undergoing financial uncertainty, we're supposed to

still joyfully shell out money (we don't really have) to help the (ever present) needy.  Oh really?...like basic home maintenance (not talking marble counter tops from Italy here) doesn't qualify as a need?  Uhm, then have to ask: why have i been getting up each weekday morning and going to work, for the last 40 years?  What, so i can fund someone's tat-parlor visit?  And on top of that, it's been a real long while since i've been on a vacation. 

Meanwhile, everybody else gets out the plastic/applies for loans, and (prior to cono) goes here and there, drives late model vehicles, with no thought about (adjustable-rate) tomorrow.  They seem to be having alot of fun, going to concerts and buying what they want.

It's a few minutes before my shift, so i won't have time to kvetch about yet another very high expectation.  That is: fasting - and doing it joyfully.  R U kidding?  i want a donut.
