Bible-bashers bellyaching...like that's breaking news ;) They can play intellectual all they want,

it's (still) a free country.  Could it be, agnostics and atheists are actually intimidated?  Intimidated at churchians, because churchians (supposedly) don't have sinful habits.  Well, excuse me, but i somehow doubt that ya have to go around quoting Christopher Hitchens to feel intimidated in the face of seemingly (bad)habit-free churchians!  Can't help but to question the notion that the Lord's people don't have ongoing struggles with real sin.  When Peter denied the Lord, and someone (after the young girl had) called him on it, he cursed.  Tell me, that was the first time, since his conversion) he had let a bad word slip.

Yeah i get it.  People raised in Bible churches grew up hearing hymns.  And church people's favorite popular singers are more toward easy-(yawn)listening - which, by the way, have more than enough (not quite covert) racey lyrics.  i didn't grow up in the church.  My musical preferences from youth are musicians like Steve Miller Band, Grateful Dead, REM, U2, Pearl Jam.  And so, i am in the (long) process of learning to like the sort of music the Lord wants us go play and sing.

And so, i have to make a concerted effort to remain separate from rock music, because they (and most other bands) didn't/do NOT!!! want the Lord Jesus within 10 miles of their studio/concert halls.  In short, most musicians don't like Jesus Christ, and frankly - as much as i find the music pleasurable to the ear (can ya "spell" siren-song?), i cannot (and don't want to) forget their dislike toward the Lord.  Yeah, dislike - because there's no 3rd way.

Lunch is over.
